New look.
I've changed over to a blog format because I really like the idea of allowing people to comment. It was... both more complicated and easier than I expected to be, which means I've probably made a bunch of errors. If you notice anything amiss, please let me know... by leaving a comment!
I've personally checked it in IE5, IE6 and Mozilla, and trust a remote AOL user's opinion. If you have access to another browser, fire it up and tell me if everything formats at least decently. It's not so pretty in IE5, but it's readable.
Also, is it just me, or do the links in the right and left boxes look like they're slightly different colors? I can't figure out what could possibly be causing it, so I'm beginning to think maybe I'm just seeing things.

Czechs-Finns
First game of the tournament and the Czechs... look awful. Marty was on the fourth line with Dopita and Dvorak, had about 15 seconds of power play time (not that there was much to go around), spent some time on the penalty kill, and generally didn't get as much ice time as (I thought) his play warranted. Career stats and World Cup stats updated.

German stuff
There are more pictures from the Czechia-Germany game here, here, and here, about 300 photos in all. The guys who took them are graciously allowing me to use the Marty pictures on this site. Thanks, guys!
Marty seems to have had a quiet game against Sweden, but the Czechs won 5-3. He played with Straka and Dvorak.
Also, I found a German interview here. I ran it through Babelfish and deposited the results here. According to Canoe,
Marty got a cellphone for his selection as Czech player of the game on Wednesday.

Czech-Finns
World Cup pre-tournament games have begun! Unfortunately, Europeans (at least Czechs and Finns) don't believe in boxscores, or at least not the kind North Americans are used to, so information on pre-tournament games may be a little scarce. Marty has been suffering a cold, but he traveled to Germany and is penciled to play RW on a line with Dopita and Dvorak; a demotion of sorts from his place on the LW of Vyborny and Jagr. I have yet to find a non-watermarked roster pic, but in the meantime you can get the general idea from Getty Images.
Marty had a great game! A goal, two assists, +3, and, according to Czech press, the best player on the ice. He wore #24 instead of #69. A German Canadiens fan was at the game, and took a lot of pictures.
Also added a few pictures.

Golden Stick
Marty came in 11th in voting for this year's Czech Golden Stick awards (Robert Lang won). In his rookie year, he was 43rd; 2002 he placed third; last year he was second. I think his suspensions hurt him, and his poor stats in the playoffs didn't help, but what do I know? Disappointingly, this means there will probably be no pictures of him in a suit at the award ceremony.

Dilemmas
No pictures added, but I'm having moral dilemmas in regards to copyright and privacy. Read all about it here.

News bits
More new pictures added, from a Czech/Slovak charity football event (Czechs won 7-1) and practicing with Ocelari Trinec (Trinec Steelers). Marty hasn't signed with anyone yet, but he is entertaining offers.
